"Drunkard's Path, I" Etching, Variable Edition of 7
"Drunkard's Path, I" Etching, Variable Edition of 7
The Drunkard’s Path is a historic quilt pattern popularized during Prohibition. This two-plate aquatint and intaglio etching series, based on a hand-drawn version, turns the pattern into fine art prints. Hand-coloured copperplate etching on high-quality heavy Hannemuele Copperplate paper. Only 7 prints were made from this particular pair of plates, making it a rare and limited edition. A few prints in the edition are slightly smaller and printed on Rives BFK paper. Please indicate your paper preference when ordering, although availability may vary. Dimensions: the actual plate print measures 5 inches wide by 4 inches high, while the full sheet of paper varies from 6.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches high to 7.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches high. Signed and dated by the artist.
